Where we work

Focused locally. Built to expand responsibly.

ActionReach’s current implementation focus begins in Lusaka District, where we aim to build a strong evidence base, deepen local partnerships and demonstrate the COUNT–GROW–THRIVE model.

Initial implementation is focused on Kanyama and Chawama. We intend to expand in stages, guided by evidence, community need, partner readiness, safeguarding capacity, available resources and formal review.

CURRENT IMPLEMENTATION

Phase 1: Lusaka District

The initial phase focuses on Kanyama and Chawama, with a deliberate emphasis on learning how the model works in practice, refining case-management processes, strengthening coordination with service providers and building credible evidence of outcomes.

Planned progression within Lusaka District

  • Mandevu and Matero: Year 2 planning, subject to readiness, resources and review. PLANNED EXPANSION
  • Munali: Year 3 planning, subject to readiness, resources and review. PLANNED EXPANSION
  • Kabwata or Lusaka Central: targeted outreach may be considered based on demonstrated need and implementation capacity. PLANNED EXPANSION

Planned progression is presented as planned, not as current operations, until implementation is confirmed.

PLANNED EXPANSION

Phase 2: selected districts in Lusaka Province

The next proposed phase includes Chongwe and Kafue, followed by consideration of Rufunsa and Luangwa. A 2029 mid-term evaluation and Board decision will inform whether and how this expansion proceeds. Expansion is conditional on learning from the initial implementation, available funding, partner readiness and the organisation’s ability to maintain quality and safeguarding.

LONG-TERM POSSIBILITY

Phase 3: longer-term possibilities

A longer-term ambition for 2031–2036 includes exploring work in Northern, North-Western and Muchinga provinces. This is a future possibility, not a current operational claim. Any expansion would be supported by dedicated resources and would not weaken delivery quality or divert essential capacity from existing commitments.

ActionReach does not use a map pin, partner logo or local office address in a way that suggests an operational presence where none exists.
